Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy Statement
Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad and its subsidiaries (“CGC Group” or “the Corporation”) are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards, integrity and accountability. CGC Group has adopted a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of bribery and corruption involving its Board of Directors, Management, employees and business associates.
In this regard, CGC Group expects that business associates and any person/organisation acting for CGC Group and/or on its behalf are aware of and committed to adhere to the relevant parts of the Corporation’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and Whistleblowing Policy as well as agree to abide by ethical standards of business which are set out in the Vendor Code of Conduct when performing such work or services for and/or on behalf of the CGC Group.
CGC Group has adopted a “No Gift Policy” whereby, subject only to certain narrow exceptions, the Corporation’s employees and directors, family members or any persons acting for or on behalf of the Corporation are prohibited from, directly or indirectly, receiving or providing gifts.
CGC Group is committed to:
- Complying with the provisions of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”) Act 2009
- Maintaining a work environment that is free from bribery and corruption for all stakeholders, including employees, business associates, public officials and persons acting on its behalf
- Implementing and maintaining relevant policies, processes and frameworks in accordance with the MACC Act 2009, with regular reviews for continuous improvement
- Promoting ethical conduct and transparency by conducting due diligence on employees, and business associates during hiring and business activities
- Prohibiting the giving and receiving of entertainment and hospitality intended to bribe, gain a business advantage or for personal gain
- Prohibiting any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could lead to bribery, corruption, or pose a corruption risk to the Corporation
- Providing a safe and secure avenue for stakeholders to report any suspected or actual acts of corruption and/or improper conduct, in accordance with the Corporation’s Whistleblowing Policy and the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010, without fear of retaliation.
