About ATP
ACSIC Training Program (ATP) is a tailor-made program for working-level officers of Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC) member institutions, that serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, information exchange and derive innovative ideas to bring the credit guarantee industry to the next level.
The country host of ATP is determined at the Chief Delegates Meeting during the ACSIC Conference: two (2) years prior to the hosting year. The first ATP was held from July 15-24, 1990 in Seoul, Korea, under the auspices of Korea Credit Guarantee Fund themed "The Credit Guarantee System and Characteristics of Economic and Social System of Each Member Country." For the year 2017, Malaysia is given the privilege to hold the hosting baton. The theme for 27th ATP 2017 is, "Credit Supplementation Institutions: Going Beyond Guarantee for SMEs."
The rationale behind the chosen theme is to enhance the sustainability of credit supplementation institutions, in view of the increasing challenges faced by these institutions in the ever-changing SME financing eco-system. This year’s ATP will strengthen the role of credit supplementation institutions, explore the avenues in which these Institutions could venture into, in order to remain relevant and competitive going forward.
A total of 14 member institutions from 10 countries are participating in the ATP 2017 namely Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand. As per the usual tradition, the ATP 2017 will see the delegates presenting a paper from their country perspective in relation to the selected theme, followed by a field trip to some interesting tourist choice spots, upon completion of the Training Program.
